The Girls Are In The House

In the yard actually
The weather has cooled considerably and
it was a perfect late afternoon
for a chat and catch up session.

They walked up to the market and
brought back candy bars and beer.
That cracked me up.

I was walking into the living room
and through the open window,
caught this glance of the three of them.
For many years, these girls spent countless
hours here growing up into these fine women.

All graduated from college now,
living very far apart,
with serious boyfriends
and serious jobs.

Darling Daughter swears they'll be friends forever.
It can be done
I hope so

Guess who slept well last night?
sigh.....

So glad you slept well and that your daughter is home to visit. Childhood friends are priceless. I still have four very dear friends that I've known since 1st grade and still after all these years we still keep in touch and get together whenever possible.

Enjoy!!!

Happy to hear you got a good rest. A house filled with love is magic! And a tummy filled with beer and candy doesn't hurt once in a while either.

awwww, this is so nice.
They can be friends forever as long as they each commit to staying in touch...emails, phone calls, letters. It can be done, but it requires nurturing, like a garden.

I love to see this Suz...reminds me so much of my own boys, grown up now, when they spend time with us...
This Sunday we are tailgating at the football game with our boys, two of their friends and their significant others..doesn't get ant better than this, right? Cherish this photo op above, N.xo

I agree with you so much on that. It always makes my heart sing when I see my sons with their buddies from high school - 10 years out they are still friends and get together when they can - those friendships are precious. I'm happy that you are enjoying them while they visit.
Hugs - Karen

I'm sharing your full heart. I love taking "through the window" shots I call them. It changes the perspective of it all.
