Howie

My constant companion
I might have gone mad without him
 these past 8 weeks.
He does snuggle very close at times,
and often brings a friend, this time Mr Chipmunk.
He disapproves of my reading when I could be petting.
That weird plastic cord you see is my 25 foot
tether to the oxygen concentrator.

Yep, I'm still on O/2 and still at a loss
as to what is the answer.
Now they're going to start looking at my heart.
Fingers crossed they're wrong about that!

To think this all started with my sewing too much.
One medication begat another and another and another,
and as one ER Dr remarked, "you're on a merry go round
that won't slow down for you to get off.

I'm weary of it all my friends
and the bills keep coming.

I took my tree down today.
I cannot believe it.
In all my years the latest was always New Years Day.
We do what we can do, and can't
beat ourselves up with what we cannot do.
At least not right now.
Lessons are being learned around here
believe me, reinforcing my need to purge
on an even grander scale.

That picture equates to 16 boxes of holiday I purged.
I'm telling you. I'm on a mission.

Z

What a cutie Howie is. My you have done a lot of clearing out. I'm trying but it is going slow. Not a lot of buyers at the booth and/or online. Don't know what that means, but my prices are already rock bottom. Thinking of you and hope it resolves soon.

I'm so sorry you are going through this, Z. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be. Thinking of you and so glad that you have Howie for love and comfort. xo

Still no answers Z, how frustrating. I'm praying it's not heart related but hoping they find out soon. I'm healing and doing better but having had a few rough nights I'm a bit down today. I've got a good book to get lost in today and that should help. Those sweet furry babies really are the best comfort! Hugs!

Howie is adorable- they are truly gems in our lives.

They haven't looked at your heart until now? Is it possible you're having an allergic reaction to one of your meds? Or something in your environment? Hoping you find good resolutions and start feeling much better soon, this has got to be so frustrating for you.

Don't sweat the tree. You could have put valentine hearts on it and left it just where it was!

I was thinking the same thing, is the meds or perhaps a food or environmental thing? But definitely get the ticker tested. I'm so sad that you are still tethered. Praises for Howie and prayers for you. Have to mention, have you poked around on ....Facebook, maybe there is a group with some ideas? I have another friend that is going through some weird thing the doctors can't help with. She found much support and ideas on social media.

Prayers for your health

Anyone that sews a lot, I believe, should wear a mask to prevent fibers for being inhaled. I notice that some fabrics are far more linty than I remember, fine little fibers fill the air when rubbing pieces together. There's no telling what chemicals ride along with those fibers. Also, insulation can get through cracks, and pop corn ceilings can have asbestos in it.

You and Howie are lucky to have each other. Cutest name for a little boy. Hope you heal soon - you are an inspiration with all the purging under the circumstances.

Hey Mary Scott!

Howie's real name is Eisenhower. We had Liberty ( a golden) then we got Justice (a cocker). Libby died suddenly at only 7 and Justice was very lonesome. So we found Another little roan cocker. Many thought we would name him For All but I was not about to yell out "Here For All". My dad named two cats Sunday that roamed the neighborhood. Back then we did that. So of course to call them in for dinner or the night "Sunday Sunday" Ridiculous.

So we knew it had to be political and my Dad's favorite president was Ike so Eisenhower was chosen.... BUT he is a Howie through and through.

I don't know what I would do without my furry companion these last few months. Just having the company is a big comfort to me. I too am tethered but in my case it is to a vacuum pump. I had major surgery in October and the healing is slow, hoping this will help but it may take several months. My cord is only three feet and so annoying. My heart goes out to you and I pray you get the answers you need soon. I too am anxious to get moving and purging around here...Spring fever will be hitting soon too, along with cabin fever I may just lose my mind. Take care and best wishes.
