It's Sunday and
I just finished watching True Blood,
now I'm watching The Newsroom.
Two hours of happy tv viewing.
I don't watch a lot of television and most of it
is from AMC and TCM.
I love the old movies.
I love new movies.
I love movies.
I despise reality shows, most talk shows,
and most of the content of the few I do
 catch occasionally.
and 95 % of sitcoms.
I think reality tv should be the news.
OMG they just said something similar on Newsroom.
I knew they were genius. :D

True Blood is akin to a chocolate fix.
Not nourishing but fun and tasty.
and oh excuse the blood pun.

Today I also made some linen totes,
cleaned out four dog ears,
played fetch with a disgusting dirty nearly regurgitated
dog toy that used to resemble a lamb.

I also received the most lovely generous gift
from a dear blogger friend who made me all weepy for about
30 minutes and my heart is healed.

Mint chocolate chip ice cream with mint m&m's
tossed in for good measure is a reason
to face Monday

and to exercise.

Love you guys somethin' fierce

Z

I am glad you are doing something you enjoy - the TV I mean, not the dog ear cleaning - LOL!
Sadly, I do watch contrived-reality shows like Antiques Road Show, American Pickers and Pawn Stars. Yes, I know it is staged and yes, I watch it anyway. Sad but true!

I love a few shows like Dexter and The Good Wife...mostly we download shows...DD likes the Kardashians who actually make me sick. Hopefully that's an age thing and in a couple of years she will also find them nauseating and ridiculous.

Hope that roomie arrives to get rid of his crap.

Reality TV makes me want to hurl! That reminds me... a couple years ago, I did watch Fear Factor. But those days are long gone. What happened to the good old shows like Jack Ass????
Big Bang Theory seems to be my poison these days.
I thought rudeness was just "the American way" nowadays. I have to duct tape my mouth shut to get through the grocery store. I cannot believe how some people will NOT behave themselves!
Anyway.....How nice to receive a package from a blogging friend.
and how nice to have mint chocolate chip ice cream in the freezer!!!

Oh my, I'm a TV junkie I must admit. Love most of it except sitcoms...they aren't funny to me. Sorry about the roommate...people are rude and often take advantage :( Still there are the good friends out there that can make your day! Hugs, Linda

so is this show the Newsroom good? I refuse to watch ANY reality TV so therefore, I don't watch much. Old movies and Junk Gypsies....that's it for me.
I hope all goes well with the roommate. People in general can be so inconsiderate and rude!
hugs,
gail

darn it! I forgot to watch Newsroom last night. I know HBO will re-broadcast it, hopefully tonight, and I'll make sure I see it. I really like it.

Like you, no reality television for me. What a waste of time and ultimately, who cares about these people? Everyone wants his/her 15 minutes of fame.

Hey sweet Z!

I'm with you on the TV thing!

I have been so busy these days I just can't find the time to blog! On this morning for a bout 10 mins before I'm out the door to pick up jewelry for the next show! I really miss being about to read and blog surf! At night I'm so darn tired I think I would fall asleep at the keyboard if I tried to blog!

Miss you! Hope all is well with you!

Z,a good weeping is good for the soul and the body.
Love all the mundane things...like cleaning out dog ears, ha ha etc.
Makes you feel normal.
I only have the regular channels on TV.
I am sooo depressed that the Today Show let Ann Curry go. I am taking my viewing to ABC's Good Morning America. They still seem to value being kind and nice to each other.
As for NBC,being nice is not on their list. What are we teaching our children?! Sorry for venting....
So much for TV.
Z, have a great holiday, no matter what.....
Sending you lots of love,
Evi

Suzan~ I sent you a comment a few nights ago...don't think it "flew through the air" for some reason. I certainly like your totes and all the neat things you are doing. Your posts are just great eye-candy for all of us, as usual. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts. I have loaned my sewing machine to a young friend and am feeling the "itch" to get it back and get to work on some projects. Thank you again for making us all a little happier when we stop by your place.~Lana

love you somethin' fierce too! The totes are lovely, it's no wonder they are flying out the door! Ice cream sounds perfect right now, it's crazy hot here. I too have been sitting at my machine all day, I have Danielle home and we tackled dozens of sachets for the markets! Have a fabulous Sunday!

Hi Z,

This new show is the best thing on tv these days. I like it when you have to strain your brain and really listen to know what's going on...and the tie in to current events is so clever.
Hope you are staying cool!

TV? What's that? Oh yeah, that's what I watch NetFlix movies on. TV shows? Not a one. Hard to believe I know. But hey, never said I was normal now did I ;)

Now talk to me about those beautiful totes and chocolate chip mint ice cream and I am there!!! LOVE them both!

Glad to hear that life if treating you well!

Hugs,

"Her" and Romeo

I am crazy for The Newsroom! I clap at least one time per episode and have been near tears a few times too.

I find myself watching more old stuff than new these days. Reality tv isn't real and news is usually an advertisement for upcoming tv shows. I am amazed when I see a headline declaring tv is 'dying.' If true we should put it out of it's misery. No one is watching it's just background noise, sometimes background scenery - I mute it because the commercials are soooo loud. Don't get me started. Enjoy your M&Ms.
