Playing along with Chania's Friday photo challenge today - dresser.
Nothing on the dresser, my night stand will "stand in".

Quite diverse reading this week, I just noticed.
Top one is vintage copy of Last of the Mohicans.
Cannot re-read without image of Daniel Day Lewis
 running through my mind.
Sarah, how many times did you see it ?  lol (don't hit!)

My most favorite earrings.
All are made by either my friends Sarah or Heather.
They never make it to my jewelry drawers.
They are worn too frequently to be put away.

AS for my own challenge this week, I lost
2 days this week to other responsibilities
so I will resume today my quest to get
 everything out of my kitchen.

Just like everyone else, I am stumped by a few.
Those four large shutters were
in my living room for years.
When I edited them out they ended up
stored up on the garage ceiling,
not in my way, just a nagging presence.
Loved too much to sell, they hung around
because for many years I believed I would
move from this home and use them in a new one.

Now, who knows, uncertainty abounds.
I am prepared to put them back up there,
and fail in this week's self imposed challenge.
But that's OK.
Dad always reminded me that we learn
far more from our mistakes than our successes.
Hope you all have a glorious weekend!

Your nightstand reminds me of mine, lots of books! My fav thing to do before bed. Your photos are great, love the black and white. Kit

No mistake in your 'stand in' photo. The black and white makes the light on the wall and lamp stand more striking, I think.

Not a mistake or a failure at all in my eyes! Awesome photo btw!

I'd like to run Daniel Day Lewis through something, too, and it's got nothing to do with my mind! :-) One of my favorite movies, also! Hope your weekend is wonderful, Z...I have a feeling I know what movie I will be watching tonight - thanks for the suggestion...Tanya

I love this shot though! Great shadow play!
Your divided tray is too cool!
I love all of the art like earrings!
Have a fabulous weekend!
I am off (literally) to my bed to recoup from this horrific day!

Your father is a very smart man!

Yes, your books are diverse and so are mine. Now if I could take the time to read a good book instead of my quick fix magazines!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend. it is cold and rainy here...ugh.

My bedside is full of books both for me and our favorite kid books and magazines, mostly creative type.
I don't think of your shutters going back in the garage as a failure at all. Sometimes it takes more than 7 days to come up with a brilliant plan. I mean remember I told you that I reset the timer just to clean out one little pink box! I can see why you love them, one day the best idea ever for them will strike and you will be glad you have them.
Have a fabulous weekend! love,t. xoxo

I love the black and white photos and how fun to see your reading stack! You've got some heavy-duty tomes there Z! As for Daniel Day Lewis and Last of the Mohicans, I think I've seen it about ten times and replayed "the kiss" several times over each time. Ann

Your nightstand it a lot neater than mine,(knew it would be)lol!)) that's for sure. Mine is always covered with books and crossword puzzlebook and glass of water.
I have been using your tips all week for getting things done. So glad you came to the rescue.
sending hugs...

We can at least 'see' your nightstand...I can't see mine for books, pens, hand creams and various and sundry other things!

I knew yours would be calm and tranquil and beautifully organised. That's quite a pile of reading Z.

Great photo, Z. I'm always fascinated by what people are reading. Your diverse pile says a lot about you. Maybe we should do a post/party about what bloggers are reading.

By the way, my sister and I watched Daniel Day Lewis in "Mohicans" endlessly. Oh lord. I'm blushing.

All I have to say to you is,"Stay alive, no matter what occurs, I will find you! No matter how long it matter how far, I will find you." Wow, not that rusty after all these years.
