Spring Cleaning In The Green

Worked in the yard all day.
Leaf blower running off and on off and on.
Roses bushes coming on strong in rose garden.
I bought the weather vane for my Dad,
He sent it back to me before he died.
Banks roses still with me and
the trumpet vine is flourishing.

Yes that is neighbors roof
we're all crammed in around these parts.

Most of pea gravel in this area cleaned of leaves.

That curve is the rose garden and extra seating for parties.

Side yard cleaned up waiting for plants to give bursts of color.
I'll be heading to nursery this weekend.
Justice peeking through front gate.
Repaired three fountains, the sound is once again
following you from front door, up the side and into the rear yard.

Walkway is so monotone until plants arrive,
then all the old pieces pop.
Yes, it all stays out year round, weathering away.

Howie in foreground checking it all out

I have completed about 1/3 of the yard.
Once I'm done, it'll be good until late fall
when I have to do it all over again.
I suppose it is still easier than dealing with snow.
Today was high 70's
Don't hate me
We'll soon be in the 100's

Everything is so much further ahead than here! I guess I should be grateful since I do NOT have my yard cleaned up yet. Looking forward to 70s this weekend and some quality time in the yard.

LOL!! I don't hate you, I know you will be hotter than Hades before long. But I do envy you a bit for all your lovely flowers. Your yard is wonderful! Kit

Looks wonderful...we are infested with scorpions, once again this summer (already). Called the HOA before I left - was informed that the entire area is overrun with them, as well as Desert Rats. Watch yourself during the cleanup.

Hello my dear, dear, Z.... I've been MIA, SOL, everything inbetween.... Trying to grab hold and pull myself back up and hold onto some kind of "new normal" and found myself inexplicably drawn here for a visit.... Ahhhh....and now I know/remember why. Glorious. Refreshing. Calming. Normal. Crazy. Normal...And above all, Lovely.... Hate you? Ummmm - no, much too strong a word...but damn green with envy and jealousy? Oh yeah....I was just rejoicing that we can finally see the red on our stop signs and you have heaven blooming in your yard!! :o) Enjoy.... Smiles, Hugs & Easter Blessings ~ Robin

Love seeing pictures of your garden. Yet, as I read this post tears well in my eyes, and I am filled with sadness. I lived in Boulder City for 6 1/2 of the happiest, and most peaceful, years of my life. I moved to Florida a few years ago. My heart is still, and will always be, in Boulder City. Yes, living near family is important, and I don't regret putting them before my own needs. But . . . What else can I say . . .

Thanks for sharing your outdoor space.

Enjoy the perfect temps and beautiful blooms while they last. I guess that's all either of us can do, right.

Beautiful photos of your yard and all your hard work:-)

Have a blessed Easter.

No way do I hate you for having really Spring like weather Z, but I admit I am veryyyyy jealous!!! Your garden already looks so beautiful and you now I love that side garden of yours with all the pretty displayed tables of garden junk and bird houses!
For seeing roses in bloom I'll have to wait another 3 months here. Can you believe we truly have a White Easter over here? Yep! Can't say that I'm happy about it.
Nothing new on the job front though but I have a few more ideas on what to do next and I still have 5 months to go in my old company. In Germany they can't dismiss long time employees without giving them a few months notice and in my case it is/was 7 months notice and of course they have to pay you a compensation too for every year you worked for them which makes 28 years in my case so I guess all will be good in the end.
Happy Easter to you and yours my friend! :)

you're pics have never looked better. I think this is the first time I really have a sense of your garden. We are probably going to get to clean up the home garden on Easter. I am so looking forward to it.

WOW Z! I could sit on your little outdoor patio for days!!!! How wonderful it is already with the trumpet vine and roses!!! Can't wait to see this area fully "populated"!!!! Hard work I am certain, but you should know that your dedication shows!!!!

I was going to suggest that since your yard guy was in jail you call and host a community service party. Of just you and the warden while your yard guy and his friends work on the yard. Seems you didn't need their help anyway!! Besides, they wouldn't have the right touch ;)

Hugs and purrs,

"her" and Romeo

Love your pics, Z...I'm jealous of all of your old and weathered pieces. Makes me want to take a look at some of the stuff I have and do something a little more creative! As always, your work inspires me.
Our Oklahoma weather is getting toward the Spring-storm season. We had hail, rain, and rainbows this afternoon...a nice Easter touch, I believe.
Continue to dazzle us! (please)
