No Matter What Nana

No matter what this day holds for you
No matter how sad
No matter how happy
No matter how scary
No matter how boring
Unless you are
the angriest, nastiest person on the earth
This will make you smile

"I could dance all f***ing day"

Happy Friday My Dear Friends

Thanks to Sally Sue for the link
and the 16 phone calls in 2 days
and the many, many, many, oh my lord many,
years of laughter.

Peppermint creamer in my giant coffee cup,
dozens of totes on my work table,
fabrics grouped, cut and finished,
a semi rainy day,
two very happy, contented, productive offspring.

BUT

What the hell is going on with my 60 year old hair?
Growing like crazy and Curly like Shirley
This shot is late last night after two nights
of SLEEPING on it.
Yes no makeup, no touch up,
sleepy eyes
Wha?

(I want credit for bravery in showing you this horrible shot.
Either bravery, or at my advancing age I just don't give a
damn any longer......yep that's it.)

BUT

Damn! life is good
I could dance all f***ing day.

From one run around Sue to another..

Love it! The dancing grandma - and you with your beautiful hair. I think women forget they don't have to have on makeup to have a good time. Life is meant to be lived with or without makeup. I hope someday to be a dancing grandma - not in my future yet - but one hates to be caught demanding someone have a child. I leave you now to dance around the house (the neighbors have asked me to not dance around the neighbor until I get a bra with more support....) ;)

I think makeup is over-rated! I wish my hair looked half as good as yours...

Thanks for sharing the dancing nana...I needed a good laugh today.

Have a great weekend,
Susie

I think your photo is beautiful, you look wise and happy and confident with who you are. That look only comes with living and learning and growing up to be a strong woman. You got reasons to dance, girl!

Today in Argentina we are celebrating Woman's Day, (big celebration here, my friend!) and this is the perfect post for today. Hooray for messy hair, tired eyes and lots of creativity!!!

The video and your post made me smile for the first time today...and it's 7:30 p.m. You look wonderful my friend, I look like Shirley on one of her bad hair days. I want to liberate myself from my straightening iron, ditch the undereye concealer and post instagram pictures of myself at 5 a.m. And dance a lot.

XO,
Jane

Suzan, I told my 40yr.old daughter about this video and how much I LOVED it! I LOVE this pic of you, too, girlfriend!! I'm finding that at 65 I'm really liking the FEEL of no make-up and no-bra and to hell with the look!!! I've "looked and tried-to-look" for too many years in my life...and IF I want to have a day of full make-up and hair, I will. And if I don't, SAY.LA.VEE! (that's Oklahoma for "to hell with it!") Love your stuff.

BHAAAHAAAHAAAA! LOVE HER! I hope I can move 1/2 as good as that when I am her age!
I think you look BEE UU TEE FUL!
I hate putting on makeup and doing my hair. If my hair looked as good as yours, it wouldn't be in a messy bun everyday!
Thanks for posting the video! I am going to share that with my 83 year old mom!

GAAAAA! Thank you so much for this, she is AWESOME!
Last week I had the opportunity to visit my aunt, the last of 11 children, my mom's sister. She is 84 and oh my gosh she talked nonstop for 3 hours and had my sisters and I laughing until our faces hurt! It was the highlight of our girls weekend!
I think your hair looks fabulous!
love, t.xoxoxo
