I'm watching Blake hang blinds in the house.......waiting for our furniture to arrive (Thursday). Looking forward to opening my boxes and rediscovering my bits.

Your collections are beautiful and I say BRAVO to you for having the ambition to change things up! I would love to have something fresh for my eyes but I become paralyzed with figuring out what to do with the things that are already there and so there they sit.

Oohhh, it looks like you have wonderful playthings!

So far this morning, I have watered my potted roses, moved some up to larger pots, and tried valiantly to tidy up my outdoor work area behind the greenhouse. It's not working.

Have a great Sunday!

I am doing the same thing. Starting to add a little Fall to my decor. I lit a Fall candle and that got me in the mood! I love your collection of cream colored pottery!~Ames

Taught a fabulous class yesterday...my teaching wasn't fabulous, but the purses that came out of it were - EVERYone left with a finished bag - even a first timer!

That, and ironing, today...what you're doing looks much more fun! Happy Sunday, Z -

Hi Z,
What wonderful collecions and I just love the way that you have photographed them and given them that ' sepia ' look. You have so many beautiful things....you and Carole and Laura must have a flea markets worth of beautiful treasures between you !!
I just love seeing everyones collections and things that they have found and given a new home to.
This weekend, I have distressed our coffee table, bought an old travel case in my favourite shop and have just come back from Brighton which is a two hour drive, to buy our daughter a metal filing cabinet.....one of the really old ones for that industrial look. It is her 30th birthday present. She is her mother's daughter.....I had a pair of French shutters for my 60th !! No diamond rings for us !! XXXX

Well "she" just got through watching "her" movie for the month. Red Riding Hood (not the old one) and liked it well enough. I missed it because I fell asleep out on the porch.

But now I must hurry over to your house because I see LOTS of great things to play cat hockey with! Would you mind opening those jars for me???

Purrs!

Romeo

P.S. I'll leave "her" at home because "she" is lusting after that little house that the bottles are sitting under. And purrsonally I wouldn't trust "her".

Well I didn't play with fun things like that but I did go to a 5 yr old birthday party. Made me wish I was 5 again and not 51.

I have just spent the last 30 minutes catching up on your posts. You are so inspiring and your house is lovely. I really need to take a good luck at what I have accumulated and start paring down. Since Alex has moved back to school I have that feeling of wanting to clean and organize....who better to inspire me but you!!
By the way, you can count me as living under a rock too...I was not aware of Jacqueline's blog but of course now I have to go check it out!
Have a great week!!

The more I read your post, the more I agree that we are kindred spirits! I have jars full of acorns, buckeyes, feathers, etc. The white iron pinecones..I have some too! Not to mention the glass house! However, my collection does not look as cool as your collection! I have to get to work on that...
