And Now It's My Home

Now it's come home.

It's a numbness that has become
far too familiar.
The rounds after rounds of gunfire
played on a loop on every channel
 hour after hour.

Because of a connection, I knew last night
the numbers were far higher than were
first being reported.
I want to go give blood but cannot.
I want to scream for this all to stop.
It will not.

How horrible for residents. It could happen anywhere. Just never know. Bet the NRA keeps a low profile for a while. Why do they need those repeating weapons? Just begging for mass casualties.

This madness is spreading across our country. I have no words for how sad and angry I am. Hugs!

So sorry to hear about this, this morn (I do not watch the news). Makes me feel vulnerable. That could have been my daughters attending that concert! A person just does not feel safe anymore. :( Kit

I immediately thought of you, Z, one of the very few people I know who lives near Las Vegas. It's also very close to home for many of us, as it's a place so many of us have had good times in, who hasn't been to Vegas?

I am watching the news, I don't shun it until it becomes repetitive. What I don't like is the focus on the shooter and his freaking life story. It feeds the other crazies to become a 'name'. Go down in history. This has to change.

Sending love to you as you try to cope with something, and a place, you are so familiar with.

My heart aches for you and all of Las Vegas, the family and friends of the victims, all of America. All are in my prayers.
