Almost Done Yippeeeee

I tried to get shots quickly before the sun went down.
I was not successful.
So take them as they are.
I am tired, and done for the day
and it's only 7:00pm.
The birdbath in the dining area is not staying.
It was moved from it's normal spot (tree there)
and it weighs a bloomin' ton
so I'll move it tomorrow

Anyway, you can get the idea
bad lighting and all.
I will continue to tweak and fuss
over the next few days.
I'll add garlands and ribbons
and lights and snow as needed,
but the bulk of it is done
and I plan to play tomorrow.

All mercury glass

I always add lots of floral pics to my trees.
Makes them fat and full.

I see that birds nest needs adjusting.
I just stopped minutes ago and started snapping,
so there will be a few things ajar.

Chandelier- blurry..sigh

Now it is really dark.
This is when I really enjoy it though.
All the trees reflect off of mirrors
and glass all over the room.
I can see the flocked tree in here
from the couch in the family
room I showed you the other day.

Mercury glass, crystals, glitter stars, birds,
paper ornaments, sheet music,
canvas script and black burlap ribbon.

Managed these shots around noon.

So that is the main room.
Are you keeping up so far, or have I lost you?
I have some tricks I use every year
in my displays and at clients homes
that I will share soon.
I'll be giving you some tips about
all things Christmas over the next few weeks
and throwing in some great recipes too.
I hope you will spend some
of your holiday time here with me.
I so appreciate each and every one of you.
Z

Everything is stunning!!!! You are the busy (smart)bee getting this done so soon. We have Thanksgiving here this year so that means minimal Christmas decor as we don't host Christmas. NEXT YEAR! Enjoy the beauty & thanks for sharing.

Z, you are too self-critical!!! LOL! your photos are fab, your decorating is fab, and even though you say the photos are dark, or blurry, to me, they are gorgeous!! I love every inch; and am so surprised to see how black works so well for Yule! Can't wait to see more. Now, sit down with a cup of tea and a goody and relax, for pete's sake!!

I am new to your blog and I want to thank you for the privilege of being able to visit your lovely home. It's so peaceful, soft and dreamy. I just love this style even though my own home is more colonial. I can relate to a lot of the issues you discuss also because I am in my mid sixties. Thanks again for sharing.

Z...can't wait for all your tricks and recipes! I'm still working on my decorations, not quite ready for the camera yet. I plan to have it all up and running by Dec 3 - when our little town kicks off the season with a Candlelight Stroll.

How peaceful. I may need to come visit your blog this evening just to relax. I look forward to reading about your photo shoot adventures. May your life be as wonderful and peaceful as your pictures look today. I tried your tip about taking pictures and not seeing dust - my counter looks like it needs a shave (peach fuzz). Oh, well.. off to clean. Yes, I'm droning on and on because when I stop I have to go back to the real world.

Everything is gorgeous Suzan. I especially love that flocked Christmas tree. I think you should just fill that birdbath with artificial snow and pile some ornaments in it. I think it would look beautiful.
