ANNIE HALL IS THE ANSWER

for me:

Some days the answer is Annie Hall.
No other answers provide clarity or solace.
La-di-da,la-di-da,la-la
I miss my woven bag, my hat and vest...
still wear the white shirts.
I cling to my past.

I wear waistcoats on a daily basis Z and I'm LOADS older than you !!
I loved that look although, I think that she took it a bit too far and looked a little bit too manly !....still, what do I know ?!! XXXX

Wow I was just thinking of her today while I was trying on one of G's ties. Took me awhile to tie the darn thing.
I want her look to come back.....maybe you and I could do that:)

Are you going to hate me when I tell you I never saw the movie! Bruce and I have never been a big movie couple......he never liked sitting with a crowd. You would think we would have rented VHS tapes (dating myself here), then DVD's or now blue ray's or even caught them on pay-per-view but sadly no. I watch the Oscars every year saying "never saw it"!!
There you have it....a blogger friend who make a bad partner playing movie trivia!

I love Annie Hall....and doesn't Diane Keaton look wonderful these days? So I still wear hats and have more white shirts than one person needs....I just love em!

Z, I too, cling to my past.

Have a wonderful week,

Me, too. I loved that look and wore it frequently. I loved wearing the hats, especially - and I had a woven bag that I carted everywhere.

Ummm, it's possible I've never seen the movie... I've always loved and worn white shirts but never thought of it from Annie Hall. A little clinging I think is OK, it's a safe place to go.

You are not going to believe this...BUT...I have never seen the movie. I don't know why, just missed out on the whole thing. Now I will have to get it and watch it just so I can understand. I LOVE my white shirts though.
I am sending you hugs and love for the week!!!!!!!!!! Have a great day my friend.

I lived in Germany when the whole Annie Hall thing was going on, so I totally missed it. I did, however, seemingly on my own accord, develop a wardrobe that included large doses of neckties, white shirts, and men's jackets and vests. When my family moved back to the states in '79, and I met soon-to-be-husband shortly thereafter, he told me that I dressed like Annie Hall. Annie, who ... so he explained it to me.

I still have a closet full of thrift-shop mens wear, which I go to first when I need a jacket for a presentation or meeting. The white shirts, or white turtlenecks in winter, are a staple. The ties have gone by the wayside, I'm sorry to say. I still have a few, tho. :)

I love Diane Keaton!

I sat down at my computer to escape for a few minutes and somehow found your blog. Lucky me! It's beautiful. I am so glad to learn I'm not the only person in the world who hasn't seen Annie Hall. (I just can't stand Woodie Allen. I believe if women are really bad they wind up in hell with someone like him - whining about anything and everything - I also believe NO woman has ever been THAT BAD.) Still the clothes I've seen are so cute - and comfortable. Loose enough so she can actually move and get something done in them and no worry if the world is getting more of a show than she planned on. I may just have to suffer through the movie to see what it's all about. Darn! There's my timer, my playtime is up. I'll be back. Happy Wednesday.

I could be wrong but what I think you miss is your kids :( Meet a buddy. I miss my past too...the good old days just hanging out together. It's not about a fancy house or car. My daughter sent me an email one day from England. I know many people dream of living there...I think that's really about escape but anyway all she wrote was "I miss my people." If you knew her it would crack you up. Even tootsie out there experiencing the world knows what she's missing too. It'll all work out for you. I truly believe that. Look to the future with excitement who knows where you'll (we'll) be one day. It'll happen I just know it.
