LIBERTY

Gone seven years now.
She died of a brain aneurysm
right in front of Hannah and I in the back yard.
It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had,
and when Hannah and I talk of her we tear up
something fierce.
I have loved all my pets and I have had many.
A few were adored.
Libbey was one of them.

She was 95 pounds of pure love and playfulness,
and loved the kids and I beyond measure.
We will miss her always.

Wonderful weekends to you all :D

What a beautiful animal and the first photo captures her loving eyes so well. So sorry for your loss...but you had the fortune of having her in your life.

Oh Suzan, she was a LOVELY girl with deep soulful eyes. I'm sorry for your loss, even many years later it's hard. I think about several of my doggies who have passed, very often.

Oh, I so feel for you ! She looks so beautiful and sweet. How nice to have had her in your life! We have had 3 dogs and 10 cats, and like you, loved them all.
Our last one was our cat Mousie who passed away 11 years ago.
It is often like yesterday... I don't think you will ever forget the love and affection they bring in to your life.
What pleasure they give us.....I am a firm believer that we will meet again some day!
Warm hugs, Evi

Oh Z......She's beautiful and how sad. I don't know what's harder when they go fast or when you have to make the decision for them because they are just too old to get around anymore, which is what we had to do with our Max whom we had for 14 years:( I still miss him so much.

Our Golden Retriever, Sam, has much more of a block head and he has been one lately running off in the forest to dig up none other than a Skunk's hideaway......peeyew. Not so smart.

So sorry for your loss my friend.

Oh my heart is on my sleeve for animals, especially a gorgeous dog like this one. How sad to lose her like that. Aren't they just such blessings.

Boy, she looked like her Mom! My Golden, Joe, and I used to drive to Boulder and go for walks with Molly and Nanci. Something so special about those Goldens! XOXO - Tanya

A beautiful girl, how lucky you were to have her in your life; and how lucky she was to have you.

That is one gorgeous dog...I'm a HUGE dog lover myself! We lost our first Shih Tzu, Gizmo, about 7 years ago...he was with us for 14 years. I can't talk about him without tearing up. I miss him so!

I've always said that there are dogs that are wonderful, but they are just dogs. Then there are those dogs with a soul. And their soul touches yours in a way that no human ever can. It sounds like she was one of the latter. Cheers, Kathy

Sometimes when you look at an animal, you can see their personality and soul in their eyes and in the expression on their faces - Libby has that.
The love we give to our pets and the love we get back cannot be equalled.
I remember thinking when I was young, how interesting it was to me we could be so close to someone without having a true conversation -my pets have always been "someones" not "somethings".
I still tear up when I think of my childhood pet - that never really goes away but it happens more when I think of what she meant to me than when I am remembering a thing she used to do.
This is a lovely remembrance of a beloved dog.

Libbey was such a beautiful dog and she obviously will always have a special spot in your heart. The flip side to having to see her have that awful anuerysm was that you were there for her to the end. I'm sorry you had such a traumatic experience. Our pets never leave us totally. Ann

Liberty was beautiful.

I had adopted a golden when she was 8 years old. We had her for a year and a half. Each day with her was a gift and a blessing.

I know your sweet Liberty is still with you every day.

Dogs are the BEST !!! Our Tara died in 1983...I still cry over her too.
Libby had such a sweet face.
She is waiting for you. That little boy who "died" when he was almost 4 years old...was on GMA I think it was the other morning..and he said when he was in heaven..he saw LOTS of people and LOTS and LOTS of animals there too.
I love that thought.
