Joining Chania at Razmataz for
the Friday Photo Challenge, "PERFUME"
I do not wish to "wax poetic" today after
watching hours of devastation across the seas.
Watching the waves approach those vehicles and homes
and overtake those unsuspecting people
weighs heavy on my heart.
Knowing that so many will worry for days,
weeks, or possibly forever to learn what
has happened to their loved ones,
makes me incredibly, breaking-heart sad.
We are all in this together, no matter
our country, our age, our politics, our religion.
None of us gets out of here alive,
but we all pray for long lives spent with those we love.
Caught up in the mundane stuff, we are always caught
by surprise when our mortality and
vulnerability slams into our daily life.
Lessons learned my dear friends,
focus on the essentials, pay attention
to the wake up calls, and hug your family close.
Suzan

it could all end in the blink of an eye. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Amen:) I haven't watched it~ seen a few photos and it's just too hard.
Love your Amazing Grace photos:) :)
I have been watching as smuch as possible. So awful. You are right Suzan, we need to focus and celebrate the now.
Your photos, as always exceed the challenge. You are just ALL creative...
I like your "playing" one! Oh, if you could sell the real "amazing grace" in a bottle...wait...you don't need to, it's free! And, we pray for comfort and amazing grace for those who are suffering.
Eloquently spoken, Suzan.
As always, so well said from the heart. Thank you for the reminder.

You are right. Disaster always helps heighten our awareness of how fragile and fleeting life is. I really like your last photo also. Sepia tones always inspire me. Well done!

Very well said, Suzan. My good friend has a daughter who just left on Wed. for a vacation in Okinawa, Japan. She had her flight diverted to Osaka and was going to catch a flight later today for Okinawa. Please pray for her safety...and her safe return home. My heart truly goes out to those who lost so much.
I lived in Tokyo for three wonderful years. Japan is near and dear to my heart..I can't even bear to turn the TV on!
Amazing Grace it is Z...there go we, but for the grace of God.
