ALL IN THE TIMING

They waited for me.
My never fail to delight Banks Roses.
Draping and dripping down the wall.
I was afraid I would miss their fleeting blooms.
Some years, our Spring winds decimate them within days.

My yard is looking pretty sad, this winter took it's toll,
and days of labor await.
Today is supposedly our last nippy day,
so I am heading to the studio with my wools instead
and will try to enjoy the last cool day
before the misery of the heat engulfs me.
 I did not say warm, warm I like;
it is the blast furnace,
melt your mascara, make your bra itch,
make you snappish inferno I despise.
oh happy day lol

I know that furnace like heat very well...if you are anywhere near Vegas. We go every October. I've never been there in the summer though...maybe I don't know it! It is pouring rain here. But it IS spring!

Jane

These pictures are breath taking, what a wonderful rose, I wonder if they bloom a second time in the year. Love your bird box too.

Hi Suzan

The roses look wonderful.. sadly we are moving into autumn here.. and I feel like hatching an escape plan...

Just looking at your last post too.. Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the kids... I've never been to NYC.. it's on my list of must do... Did you get a chance to catch up with Carole?? That would be the icing on the cake..

Okey dokey... have fun back home... You're probably missing your kiddies now.... ciao xxxx Julie

Wow they almost don't look like roses at all but like Japanese Kerria. I wonder if it's a rambler and that's why it flowers only once. Gee now you have me doing research....haha thanks a lot.
Ok going home now....someone used up all my battery on my phone:)

Glad your back!

I bet they smell divine. So pretty. I know what you mean about the heat. It's coming here in FL all too soon! June, July and August are steamy

Your garden is simply stunning. I am right there with you on the heat. Made the mistake of visiting Nevada in July once. It was just like someone was pointing a blow dryer in my face. I find the older I get the narrower my comfort zone becomes. My favorite temperature is I don't need my sweater and I'm not sweating.

They are beautiful!!!!! It snowed here again today. I am looking forward to the warm days of Spring and Summer. I can't wait to get into my garden to see how everything made out from this winter. Hope you are having fun with your wools:)

Enjoy those woolies, we have already lost the blast furnace war down here in fire pit Florida.
It's almost too hot for roses here, so thanks for the pictures.

I'm with you on the weather! Ha!

Love the roses. My sister, who was just here for a visit, bought a couple of those for me the last time she was here, 2 years ago. They grow like crazy!
