Teaching

Two surprises in one week.

MY COBWEBPALACE has been making bags from my tutorial here
JUNKWILD made an advent after seeing this post.

Seriously, how cool is that?
I taught classes ( Gatherings) here in my home for many years.
All day events consisting of many projects,
all supplies included and a sit down dinner.

My favorite part was seeing students get excited about a
project and put their own special spin to it.
This is a pic from the advent class a couple years ago.
(We made much more than just the advent)
yep, we just push all the furniture aside in my
living room and we go to town.

Maybe it is time to resurrect the Gathering classes for 2011.
So local gals what do you think? Have some ideas?

I think some of my favorite times were sitting in my kitchen with the ten or so women who took my painting classes every Tuesday night. We had such a blast! I remember one time when I was expecting Landon (about eight months along) and I rested my canvas on my stomach to demonstrate a technique and Landon kicked it clear across the kitchen. Some of the ladies remind me of that all the time. We had the best laugh.

I try to craft with my best girls as often as possible. It still amazes me how different each of our projects will turn out even though we started with the same vision. Go for it! Get teaching again.

Suzan- Thanks ever so much for a link back to my blog!
My Advent Calendar is staying up all year...I love it so much! I'm sure those classes you taught were a blast...if I were local I'd be at every one you held! I used to teach acrylic painting classes
(way back when)...now I just want to have time to paint myself!
Whatever you do...it will be great...and I'll be wishin' I was there! Thanks for all for all the inspiration...now if I could just be as organized as you...maybe next year!
Happy Holidays
Tammy:-)

Some familiar faces AND some familiar backs (not to mention the top of Wendi's head!) - they can turn, but they can't hide. Maybe I will be in town this time around! Have a wonderful rest of the week, Z

I definitley think you should resume your classes.

I would love to do some clay tags like you see on some blogs. I am going to give it a go this weekend, but I would much prefer to do it at your house with the company of other women and a lovely supper!
