DANGER

I am still so stuffed from yesterday, if I pasted feathers to my butt
I would be in danger of being shot for Christmas dinner.

Yesterday I was the guest at a beautiful and delicious dinner hosted by a dear friend and I couldn't resist a second helping of stuffing and the perfect sweet potato casserole. Suzi stuffed me with appetizers for an hour before dinner, six different kinds and then topped off the meal with pie and gingerbread with homemade lemon sauce.
She is one of those dangerous cooks. "C'mon eat - eat."
gobble gobble waddle waddle....

The day was wonderful and we talked politics and crafting and relatives and Christmas plans, it ran the gamut, and was the perfect way to spend the day, and
dilute the sadness of missing my kids.
I am so very thankful for her kindness.

Kudos to an amazing chef!

Suzan

still feeling pretty stuffed myself, was so full last night that I decided to wait til breakfast for my pie but then had no time before I went to work so Duane brought me some for lunch, yum! Now we are going to go see Harry Potter with the kids before John leaves to go back to school. I think tomorrow will bring some lounging and crafting, well I hope it does anyway! Have a great night, Theresa xoxo

How sweet! We had the smallest thanksgiving dinner ourselves. Some of our family is on their way back from New Zealand. We were a threesome of "funsome" at dinner.

You funny girl! Yes, I am just as full tonight as last night...only the food was better the day after. Why is it always that way? Leftovers are just better.
hugs to you Z

It sounds like you had a great day! In spite of the feast yesterday and leftovers today, there is something about turkey and all the trimmings that keeps you going back for more!! I hope your friends sent you home with a big basket of leftovers...you have to have those!

XO,
Jane

How lovley that your friend cooked a special meal. It mus t be so hard when the kids aren;t there, but I guess that is what parenting is for....making them grow and explore and experience life.
