Cleaning

All the holiday is cleared away and I've been
cleaning
 purging
yes..... again
always

I need some Spring and so the basket
will have some plant or flowers later today.

Many of the cupboards and drawers are
now nearly empty, or at least spacious.
Only useful and meaningful things remain.

Of course a photo bomb from Howie.
I moved him three times and then gave up.

My only nod to the Feb holiday

When the photographer was here
she quickly learned that
nearly everything in my home
has a story
a history
or a purpose

 Into the den

Keeping the twinkle lights up for now.
I like them in this room at night
while watching Sherlock,
 Nova or American Experience.

Howie get off my bed!!!!
Mom says so.

Na na na na na na  I win.....

I can look at pictures of your gorgeous home all day long:) Everywhere I look is another creative way to display treasures. So beautiful! Can't wait to see it in print so I can read it as well. I think our pets know they will be online because they always try to get into the pictures too. But I guess it adds a bit of life to the picture. Yours are adorable:) Have a great rest of the week. It has been snow, snow, snow all week here. Finally going to open up the shop to see. We'll see how that works out. Retail is so strange. lol At least I am blogging more and totally enjoying it!!!!

Keeping my twinkle lights up too, they may stay all year, I love their cozy glow at night when I am here alone....
Your home looks lovely and loved! There is a story with almost everything I own as well, what's the point otherwise?!

Hey you....glad to hear you had a nice Holiday with your kids.....even though you got sick, it was probably worth it!

You got a minute to come help me clean...hehehe. I always get way behind when I'm preparing for a Show.

Think warm thoughts for me as we are experiencing a blizzard right now. Kids are on their way home from school early today:-)

Honestly Suzan...if I could pick a place and decorate it (decorate is too superficial a word really) any way I wanted, YOURS would be it. It always seems so comforting, so peaceful, calm, and easy going. The natural textures and soft shades of nature are SO nice. Absolutely beautiful.

Hi again... I am still here... lingering... going through your older posts... and room by room... I so love the primitive~folk art looks... and also that everything in your home has a story behind it... whispers from the past I call them... and I always listen to what they have to say... since I am brand new to your blog, what is your other puppy's name besides Howie?... doggie kisses to you sweet ones!... also, did I miss it somewhere, do you have a shop?...I read your bucket post and loved it!... I am sure I will be making some "deposits" soon!... how can I tell if I am a "No~reply" blogger?... I don't want to be a no~reply blogger!... the interaction is what I love... it reminds me of when I was a little girl and my mama and her two best friends came over to our house every morning and had coffee together before they started their day... not a gossip session... just three friends enjoying time together... swapping recipes, maybe showing a new pattern for a dress they were going to make... everyday things... that's what I love to see in a blog, and yours reminds me of just that... I feel welcome here... oh, and is that Alice in Wonderland door a doggie door?... hope it's okay if I stay a bit longer... love all your baskets... especially the Amish ones... I have but two of those and am saving for more... xoxo Julie Marie
