Where I've Been

It takes over 3 months to prepare for an auction.
I work at an auction company.
We go from this, the day before -

to this -
auctioning off,
over three VERY LONG days,
things like

and so much more-
Months of preparation and
four days of crazy busy
and then....

Tomorrow we start all over again
for the next one in October.
I am asleep standing up and trying to
 watch PBS Sherlock Holmes.
I missed it first run through.
Then MadMen is on....
no rest for the weary just yet.

I'm visiting everyone, I truly am.
Haven't you noticed me peeking around your corners?
Or.... maybe it is just my mouse.

The trap is gone!
no sign of it or him...
and nowhere for him to have escaped in the trap...
I'll need Sherlock to solve this mystery,
cause I am just too bleepin' tired.

Darling daughter comes in from New York soon.
Mama is EXTREMELY excited.
I miss you all.
I'll return.
I will.

Could one of the darling dogs have possibly gotten ahold of the strip/mouse???????? Just a thought, and probably a pretty good bet, unless you now have a cat, too?!

Glad you survived the auction - can't wait to hear about it. Happy Sunday - relax!

Wow, you sell lots of cool things like the coke machines and fortune telling game booths. We like the Sherlock Holmes series too. Try and find a bit of rest, you deserve it.

So much cool stuff to look at for the auction... haven't been to one in years. I'm so glad that you get to see DD soon, that always brightens the spirits and makes the weariness disappear! Life is very crazy around here too, no time for much blogging. A local gal reached out to me to put things in her show and to teach a class in June. Good thing about the show is I am just adding jewelry and laundry soap and don't have to attend the 3 days. Still don't have the yard ready for spring, I've been helping my Dad get his ready instead. Everything will get done in good time. Today a field trip to the Capital with Max, life. is. good.
take care!

Yup, it certainly looks crazy...but fun too! What a great job!
I too fell asleep about 20 minutes before the end of the much-anticipated second series of Sherlock (please let there be a repeat sometime this week).
Up in town for a couple of days, business calls mixed in with cat-sitting for our eldest daughter. Dead on our pins last night - I feel your pain!

Fun, fun stuff! Girl I know what you mean about being tired! I finally feeling rested up from the trip, but not back to 100 percent! It sucks when yo work 7 days a week, just can't find the time to have a day off. Oh well, working all the time keeps me out of trouble! hahaha!

Hope you feeling better!

I'd love to be able to shadow you for a few days! Which of course would be followed by wine and good tv! I have been hinting for Downton Abbey for mother's day!

That is a huge auction house! I can only imaginethe work that goes into getting it ready for an auction. I do know that everything in an aution house has to be handled and numbered. Wow! Have fun with darling Daughter:)
