Seeing The Light

I awakened long before sun up this morning,
and was not a happy gal....
figured I might as well haul my
keister out of bed and make some coffee.
As I came down the stairs,

I saw this.

No retouch, this is exactly how the
light was coming through the transom window.

My photographer friends keep talking about
"the light" and I listen with one ear but it flies right back
out the other side, and I never seem to focus on
conditions, or grab the camera like I should.

Today, I saw the light...

Happy weekend all,
and to my dear friends in the path
of the storms, please be careful, I
need you in my life.

much love,
z

This is BEAUTIFUL, Z!!! Truly!

A strong second to the girls in the storms - Vegas is so boring, but I'm thankful it is at times like that!

What a great morning view - I am usually so bleary eyed as I stumble down the stairs.
I understand what you say about photographers and seeing the light. It all goes in one eye and out the other with me too!
Have a happy weekend Z...

What a great photo!!The storms here were unbelievable!!! Two small towns have been flattened, the photos were absolutely terrifying!! And we all sat and wondered where this would hit!! It hit 25 miles from where we live and work!!I feel so bad for all of the families who lost everything to this evil storm!!

Photography is all about the light and you captured it beautifully. I am always surprised when some of my friends don't notice how spectacular the light can be, and it is different everyday. So the light coming in your window today, will cast slightly different shadows at the same time tomorrow. Your photo is really magnificent.
