I'm In Love

Tall
Gorgeous
Broad Shouldered
All the "parts" work
Hot

Cold
Clean
Shiny
White
Blue
huh?

This might seem silly,
but to me, this is a banner day.
After 16 years my badly working fridge died.
After an hour of negotiating at Sears last week,
I purchased this new beauty at a great price,
and it was delivered today.
The ice and water work (after 8 years without)
and it's all bright and shiny inside
with so much more room!
I cannot even fill it today.

I am beyond thrilled!
it's not sub zero, it's not stainless, etc
but to me it is gorgeous and I feel so fortunate.

Then there is this baby.
I waited till it was a "today's special" on HSN
 with free shipping
and then I snapped it up after
watching it for about a year.
My budget is such that spending $40.00
has to be carefully considered,
so know that I thought awhile on
this amount for a bucket.

But it is worth every penny.
Go to the link up there
and it will explain how it works,
how you spin it clean, and spin it dry....
you can even watch the video,
but I've got to tell you
I love this thing,
and enjoy mopping.
Seriously!

So nothing profound or inspiring today,
just a Saturday at Z's house.
I am mopping and listening to my new ice
dropping down... I know I have to toss the first dispensings,
but a few hours from now you can bet
I'll be enjoying a great iced tea,
checking my reflection in the fridge door
and shiny clean, tiled floors.
again...
 simple pleasures....

happy weekend all.

I have two blog milestones approaching soon,
so I am collecting a box of goodies
for two winners..
Stay tuned

Z

Well deserved! Over the moon happy for you, Z! With all of the water we are supposed to consume in a day, you are going to love your filtered water dispenser. We have a SEARS fridge as well. Our first lasted 20 years! Take that sub-zero!

Oh girl, I understand your bliss with your two purchases. I felt the same when we got a new front door. It just lifts up the house vibe to get something big and classy and new.

I am so happy for you and your new refrig! When I got mine a few years ago It made my day. Mine is small and no bells or whistles but still makes me happy. Wow I will have to check out that bucket! Looks great and if it can make me like mopping it's priceless!

i think stainless is HIGHLY over-rated!

And what a bucket it is Z! Fridges should be functional...that's all...good for you that yours is!
How was your experience with Sears? Mine, here in Canada, was just barely short of horrendous.

I know what it is like to get a new appliance! I want to shout it from the rooftops and secretly hope the neighbors saw the truck! ;-D

It looks lovely, I love white, I have it at the lake. Ant the bucket/mop thingie looks very innovative...I have to check it out! Enjoy your weekend!

Some girls have all the fun. ;o) Congrats on your new additions. Your frig looks a lot like ours one the inside....but I just can't make the space work for me. (Too many adult refreshments ya think??) And....hmmmm...I'm intrigued by the spin mop....but, you mean I'd actually have to clean my floors???! I thought that's what fluffy slippers were for..... ;o) Hope your weekend is off to a great start....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Shoot; now I want tile floors more that ever! Congratulations on your new loves. Karmen

Congratulations, happy homemaker!! 8+) I understand. When I got rid of The Vaccuum Made Of Lead I danced around the living room with the new one - LOL! I, like you, make do until things are TOTALLY worn out. The 1, 2 and 5 no longer work on my microwave but I figure it exercises my math skills.

Simple pleasures indeed. It's a given that anyone that likes to be as organized as you, must also like cleanliness - a banner day for you all around I'd say...
I have had a new fridge once in my life and it was an event I'll tell you - funny how something like that can really make you happy!

I felt exactly the same way when we got our new fridge last year! I'd never had a new one before; always the one left at the house by the former owners (two different houses, two different fridges in my lifetime!) And the new one is just a basic model, not even ice!, but I just LOVE it!

I'm headed over to see what this mop bucket is all about! Anything that makes you WANT to mop, I'm all for! :o) Thanks! And congrats on your new fridge!

sounds like you are happy - simple pleasures are the best huh? Have you tried the electric ice tea maker? Makes great ice tea in a jiffy. Have a good one.

OHHHH a girl after my own heart! I too would love a new frig. we went small due to cost when we moved in and let me tell you, putting away the groceries is just no fun! Plus to have water and ice at the press of a button, maybe I could get these people to drink more water if that was the case! I have never seen the mop thingy before, but I am with you on the 'special' purchase thing too. Thanks for the button on your sidebar! you are awesome!!!t.xxoxoxooxxoxoxox

It must be lovely to have the new fridge. I particularly love a water and ice dispenser. And the new fridges do seem much better laid out. Glad you are pleased with it as well your bucket. Think of what you will save by not buying swiffer cloths.

I just love you Z. I love that these are the things that bring joy to you. I love that you never miss the little things. Heck, I get excited over a new broom, so I SO get where you are coming from here. Can you believe I don't even have an ice-maker, let alone a through-the-door one :)
I loved your beautiful 'light' photo of you little kneeling angel. Who could have a bad day after seeing that????
lots of love to you my friend...

WOW what a fridge !! I bet you don't know yourself Z ! Think of all of the yummy food that you can get into that baby !!
I can't get quite so excited about the bucket but, once I've watched the video, I know that I'll want one ....that is if we can get them in the UK.
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday with plenty of iced tea !! XXXX

Although new appliances are costly....oh mamma, they are nice to have. It is a beautiful fridge. (hmm, does one call a fridge beautiful?)

Our microwave bit the dust and I have been without since Christmas. yup

and I don't have a dishwasher...our house is itty bitty, and it is 90% of the time just me and hubby, so I just wash things up by hand.

Mopping floors is a grind, so I'll have to go watch the tutorial video on your new BUCKET.

So for sure, I can imagine this day you'll be sitting looking at your clean floors and listening to the music of ice cubes dropping.
ahhhhhh

I'm still in love with my new fridge(just before Christmas). The honeymoon ain't over yet. But, I'm torn between two lovers...the fridge, and the stove.
So I understand the whole fridge and mop bucket thing you've got going on.

I'm a white fridge gal myself, so I totally understand your state of infatuation. When we first got an ice dispenser it was like when Edison invented the light bulb around here. That mop looks intriguing... Ann

Isn't it wonderful to have a new appliance?! Ice and water on the door are the greatest invention since sliced bread...at least in my book. Enjoy your new beauty and your new mop contraption too. I'm off to watch the video.

Have a wonderful week.

Suzan, I love your new fridge! My current one is from Sears, about 24 years old now, white which I still like! The ice maker hasn't worked for over a year, good excuse to make ice with raspberries and a bit of lemon zest in old fashioned ice cube trays...every time it cycles on and off it sounds like a cannonball has gone off! When we have guests it really makes them crazy..I am hoping it will hang in there till my new one is installed with the renovation. A thing of beauty it is, enjoy it, my dear! N.xo

I'm late in getting to my favorite blog, but I agree with the many comments on here, Z. It is the simple yet much-awaited for things in our lives that bring us joy. A new appliance. Buds of Spring. Clean floors. Sweet pets. It doesn't take much, really. So happy that you share your joy. You DO "pay it forward"...
