Playing in the studio
For Darling Daughter
Not sure it is finished
There are things I may change
Letting it marinate a bit
Because 2/14 is coming up fast...
Because I still had more roses....
Another heart was born
Linking up to another White Wednesday

They are BEAUTIES, both - way to step outside that box!
Just beautiful!
Fantastic!
I adore that mixed media collage. I've tried doing some, but mine never turn out right. How did you learn to do that? I look at Somerset magazine (not sure of spelling)but just get confused. I love the colors in the heart. Much better than traditional Valentine's colors.
Love this piece, AND all your darling roses!
Beautiful I love how you cluster them together and make such a wonderful heart filled sentiment~
Your daughter will love it!
Ok now it's just too pretty to eat. I would leave it out all year. It's gorgeous and you'll have to make more... ya know that right?
hugs,
Carole

My dear Suzan,
I am sorry that I have been somewhat absent from the blog-world.
Had some catching up to do and was stunned. You made the most beautiful hearts...all of them!
I just love the rosette ideas.
I also love the Valentine necklaces.
And then... the biggest surprise...
being named as one of the " 10 gals". I feel truly honored!!!!!
I love, love my friends....besides family, what would life be without them!
And then I cracked up laughing...
are we somehow related? I do the same thing with Nutella..and unfortunately have the figure to prove it. Oh well, life is too short, so why not enjoy it with Nutella.
Also loved the boot story. From which country is Chania?
You know, lots of New Yorkers have never been to the Statue of Liberty or other monuments- buildings..I guess you think it will always be there... and we all know, that this might not be the case.
Glad, I got to go and visit everything...including the Twin Towers.
Lots of warm wishes, as we are waiting for the next Nor-Easter,
hugs, Evi
Beautiful z, stunning. Love how you broke out.
Funny thing happened after reading your post the other day - I liked the creamy white wool felt flowers, which gave me an idea for something I was working on. Stopped off at the shop to pick up some white felt and while deciding exactly shade would be right, I started looking at the tans and and other various shades of brown, thinking how pretty they would look if I used one or two with the cramy white. And here it is!
Oh Kathleen! Could you adopt me so I could have one of these ab.so.lute.ly beautiful hearts? Your daughter is one very lucky gal! Did you use felt or find sweaters to cut up?
Your daughter will love your creation! And the heart...perfect.
xo
Claudia

Your woolen rose heart is lovely. Something you could keep out all winter and it would be beautiful!
You are whipping up some gorgeous stuff Z. Me thinks your daughter is going to be beside herself with this beautiful piece of artwork.
The heart is soooo pretty. If I were to come to your house and open the door, do you think I would be hit with a hugh avalanche of felt hearts??? I sure hope so. I'll bring a bucket, just in case!
hugs to you...
My whiskers are sticking straight out with delight!!! We are both loving the flowers of the heart!!!! But the one with the cremes and browns.....oh dear, "she" just fell off the chair....I think that means "she" loves it. Either that or Howie has digestive problems again....
Purrs!!! Your daughter is sure to love your gift!!!!
Romeo
That is the most beautiful heart I have seen for Valentines. I love all the muted colors. I am not a red kind of girl, so this heart is spectacular!!! Thanks for sharing. ~~Sherry~~

I also must become a follower of yours,so much talent!!

Love how you've used your roses!
I see I missed a couple of good posts while my computer was disconnected. Loving these roses your making... there is nothing better than creamy wool or felted wool in my book.
I haven't created anything for awhile, just been doing manual labor here with this computer room! This makes me want to take a day and disappear in my studio.
Loving this Z
Blessings this weekend

Uh oh, you're making me a little misty here.
You've been going gang busters on the roses! I love the scalloped edges. Do you use scissors or a rotary blade to cut them?
Susanne.
I LOVE this wreath!!!! I NEED ONE!!!! And since you were such a sweetheart to send me the linky poo for directions... can I copy you? :) HUGS!
