This week's Photo Challenge is the egg.
Not being able to sleep AGAIN, I arose in the wee
hours of the morning and headed downstairs to my favorite cozy chair.
I love the light in this room in the early morn.
It reminds me of a dark old farmhouse parlor, though in
reality, it couldn't be farther from that.
I jumped up, grabbed some eggs, plopped them into
a favorite old brown bowl.
No fancy effects or treatments, just eggs, just a point and shoot camera.
Effects provided by early morning light coming
through the south window.
Love the egg shape shadow I got with this one.
Whipped up a quick Havarti cheese omelet and
went back to bed for a couple more winks.

I love these, Suzan.....so simple and so lovely....love the colors of the wood, the eggs, and the shifting colors and shadows as the light changes. BEAUTIFUL.
these are gorgeous.xxx
These photos are really pretty! :D
Everything you photograph has that lovely sepia tone. What could be lovlier than a simple bowl of eggs?
Suzan dear, they are lovely with the brown bowl and the sun coming in the window. Well done. Have a terrific holiday weekend♥olive

Really beautiful pictures! It's amazing that you use just a simple point and shoot camera... great job!

That's inspired Suzan!
Sounds like me I woke up too early ate an omlette with dear husband and then crashed on the couch.
I should have taken pictures of my eggs instead.
In my defense I did whip up beach plum sauce.....and of course I had to photograph it.
Hey maybe next week it'll be beach plum week....yeah right!
btw I love the warm glow you got that early in the morning.
You would just love my friend Ginny's house. It looks like an old parlor throughout the house.
xx

Beautiful egg photos Suzan. Love that early morning light!
I wish you sleep to a reasonable hour this long weekend...if not that, then I wish you more eggs for your early morning breakfasts! BEAUTIFUL photos, Suzan!
I have a thing for eggs--love the look of them in this brown bowl and the photos are lovely!
Suzan, you ROCK THE POINT AND SHOOT, girlfriend! And the eggs! ;-) ...yummm love havarti~
Stunning! I have read things that say a photographer or a painter might "wait" for just the right light. Serendipity for you to be there at that perfect moment!

I love your rustic vintage charm! I am your newest follower and I plan on being back again!! Would love to have you stop by for a visit sometime soon!
Smashing! But not as in scrambled eggs!
Hi dear Z,
Only you could make even a dozen eggs look divine! I love how you can explain things so well. I feel that I would be totally happy to sit in this room in the wee hours too.
hugs to you...
