On The Porch

Pretty sure I've blown out my knee - again-
So I'm sitting on the Porch
Trying to think Positive

Bought this guy from a street vendor for $3.oo when I was eight.
Bought it for my Dad. Don't know why I liked it then, or why I like it now.
He made the old barn wood frame and added some brackets
he had found on our property. He made it look special.
Dad brought it to me on one of his visits, after another bad diagnosis.
It is one of my cherished pieces.

Looking for me? I'm on the porch.

Please visit all the other White Wednesdays
over there at Faded Charm
hosted by Kathleen.

What a lovely porch and a lovely home.
The picture of the man sure adds some character and probably is a real conversation starter. I can't believe you have had it since you were eight!

Hope your knee gets better.

Hi, I just popped over from White Wednesday. I'm so sorry to hear about your knee, but you have an absolutely beautiful porch so I hope you are enjoying your time resting there! I am amazed that at 8 years old you were able to recognize the uniqueness of that painting! Such character on that old man's face, isn't there?

I'm so sorry about your knee, I hope you are 100% very soon! I did something 'fun' to my back so I really wish I could sit on your porch with you and we could recuperate together! Your porch is so BEAUTIFUL, really every last bit of it! I love that you bought that sweet picture for your dad when you were little and that he made it so special. I love it, I would have wanted it when I was 8 too, he just has that special of a face! Get well soon, Theresa

Oh dear Suzan, how on earth have I missed your wonderful white wednesday pictures until today? Well I blame it on a very busy week, but I am so happy to see and enjoy them now that I have time. Who does still need decorating magazines and books when one can look on your photos?

Your porch for sure is a dream come true!!!

It doesn't look like a porch really, it looks like a closed room more like a wintergarden/conservatory. Where is it open?

What a great family heirloom that fab picture of the old man is, love the story too *sigh*!

Now tell me that terrific house with the ballustrades is that really a bird house? Gosh it is so gorgeous!!! I never saw something alike, I'm amazed every time I see those fantastic bird houses of yours, my oh my what a fabulous collection!!!

Oh and how you hung all these linen and lace pieces on the wall is simply ingenius!!! I also love how you hung the stars on the knobs over that beautiful french doors and also how you used stars again for the curtain arrangement, ah it's all in the details!!! Love your angels too and the balls in that pretty bowl under the lamp and the white pumpkins in the basket!

The blinds in front of the windows, the checkered & ruffled beautiful sofa, the shabby white wooden box as a table with the glass cloche on top, it all looks just so awesome!!!

You rock Suzan and you are my interior decorator No. 1!!!

Sending you my best wishes for quick healing of your poor knee my friend!!!

Carola xoxo~
