All buttoned up at oldgreymare

I had my oyster shell buttons here and there and it seemed almost everywhere, so I gathered them into jars all in one spot. Looking at them in this way I was surprised by how many I had collected over the years. Suppose I should create some projects and use them up. What you can't see is all the jars of brown and black buttons in the second row of the cupboard.

Can you say super collection?

Oh, seems I find a lot of dominoes also.....
So, am I collecting the objects or the jars?

You get the prize for the most white buttons....amazing! I'm crazy about buttons in jars also, but don't have nearly as many as you! Enjoyed your post.

That is a fabulous collection of buttons, I love them in the jars, they look so pretty. The dominoes are pretty in the jars too, I just found one of those grid looking jars recently, it was the first I had ever seen, I got some dominos... hmmmm, you just gave me a great idea! I wondered what I would put in there! Thanks, Theresa

Hey Z, I'd keep my doors locked if I were you! Otherwise I just may hve to take another hu-jass drive and 'borrow' those buttons and many other things I have seen in your house.hehe
The best of luck to Ben in the big city. I know he will do so well, just like your daughter. Wow, isn't it so hard to see them spread their wings and not only fly...but soar?! It's a wonderful thing to parent a child.
I have missed a couple of posts here and you know I hate that when it happens. I hope to be back to regular visits soon.
hugs to you dear friend

I just started collecting the shell buttons a year ago. Love them. They look so nice in canning jars, or jars of any kind.

I'm with you - mother of shell buttons are hard to resist! Displaying them in glass jars works great - you can enjoy them and keep track of them at the same time!
