Asis

Her name for now is Asis..yeah, yeah so creative...hehe
I'm leaning toward Della, Nettie or Etta
after relatives... Yeah a miracle I was named Suzan eh?
I did get the Z though..
So which of the three do you think fits her?

She resides at the top of the stairs
crowning my Dad's copper lined smoking stand
and his favorite hand painted black chair.
Two of my quilts folded there.

Darling daughter and dearest son photos from many years ago.

Her shoulders draped with antimacassars
from my Dad's Mom, her skirt
topped with vintage bullion and lace snippets from an Aunt.

Drape her in some wool roses, chain and pearls laying around the studio and for now she is presentable.

40 bucks, not too shabby
Ms Della, Nettie or Etta...

Have a great week guys.

I think Nettie sounds a little too subdued. Etta brings to mind Etta James and she is, after all, "at laaaast....". Della sounds like she could be trouble and this is clearly a girl who likes her bling. I am stuck between those two and looking forward to what everyone else has to say!

Wow...great buy! I found my 'Coco' at a Goodwill and had to first convince a regional manager that they should sell it to me instead of use it to display clothes! She agreed after a couple days and it was mine! Wire cage bottom and all! First thing I did was paint over the PURPLE paint....oh my....

I keep trying to combine all three, Delnetta, or Nettadel. I think it's my cold screwing with my brain!

Antimacassar?!?!?!?! I had to google that, who'd a known?! Evidently you. I have antimacassars in my basement and had no idea. I love what I learn when I'm out and about visiting blogs.
I think I'd vote for Etta. She's lovely by the way.

Suzan, I posted a comment from my daughter's computer this past weekend and I dont' think it flew through the cloud! :)
I love the name Della for this gal! I also like Etta, and probably for the same reasons that another follower suggested (Della Reese/ Etta James). Does that "date me"? :) Love what you can do with the things find!!! You ARE ever the artist! Toodles~

Nettie of course. I love the way you made her look even more genuinely old.

Hope you're feeling better.

Oh I vote for Etta, as soon as she arrived and stepped down from the carriage, I knew she was an Etta. How wonderful that she is wearing heirlooms. She is having so much fun. Thank you so much for attending the ball! I will send "Etta" home safe and sound as soon as the ball is over!!

I vote for Nettie!.. Love the pearls, and are those crocheted roses near her neckline? I'm a crocheter, so I love anything like that! Her pineapple shawl (antimacassars??) is (or ARE) beautiful!... Nice meeting you too, Suzan, via The Dress Form Ball today! ~tina

I love Etta, and I love that she sits on the top of your dad's chest. She has the most fabulous lace and necklace on, I think she was the sweetheart of the ball. My Lucy was loving her company. Di@Cottage-Wishes
