Entertained and Loved

I may still be sick but I am being fed
 wonderful food by dear friends,
thank you Tanya, Ann and Paula
and entertained by these two goofballs.

We did a lovely lunch and some mad dash
 shopping today before I
was overcome and had to head home again.

Tomorrow begins the swap back and forth
between their dad's home and mine.
The first years of this were pure torture but I have
adjusted and adapted and all is well.
The important thing is that they are
fine with it and I have them this year all
Christmas day.
oh I love them so.....

I plan to get back here once more
before the big day and I am trying
so hard to return all emails and visit everyone
and say a huge thank you for the get well wishes
and if I miss you, please, oh please forgive me,
but right now I have slimy mucus brain.
TMI?

Your greatest creations, by far...those are some pretty special kids you've got there, Z - even more charming in person (I DO have a 23 year old daughter that is looking for someone nice)! :-) And tell Hannah that I WISH I EVER looked that good, straight out of the shower!

Hope your holidays with them this year are the best, by far. Hope your slimy mucus brain clears soon! XOXO

Your kids are great...love the photos! Sorry you have "slimy mucus brain"...I think my granddaughter has this and grandson has a cough and I'm spending the night tonight...no need to mention I'll be sick next week.

Have a joyously Merry Christmas Suzan!

Running way, way, behind here Z - missed your last post - oh, poor, poor, you (and I mean not just financially drained!) You've looked forward to this for so long and then to end up feeling punky. If anyone can make you rally, I'm sure it would be those two kids of yours. What a hoot - they look like so much fun to be around. But nah - I won't come - don't wanna catch whatever it is you have.....Wishing you a season of Christmas joy and magic my friend....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I think those two would bring a smile to anyone's face. So glad you have them all Christmas day. I always miss the holidays with mine since more family is in So Ga and so I never have 'the day' but I'm use to it now. Whatever day we celebrate becomes the special day! Hoping you feel better soon. Hugs, Linda

I just found your blog today -- followed a link from another blog where your words were quoted. I could relate so closely to those words that I had to come over and "meet" you.

This was our first Christmas of doing the "swap" with our teenagers. It went ok, I guess. It is what it is. I think they're ok.

Thanks for your example of strength and courage. And, by the way, I love your style!

I do hope you are feeling better...and were able to enjoy your kids.
I wanted to tell you I really enjoyed your series on christmas tricks...especially when you showed your collections (ironstone) and then again with the added greenery...that really was a lightbulb moment for me...it really changed how I decorated this year...I posted about it and your help. THANK YOU!
now get well and blessings to you this new year.

Love these two and don't even know them! I mean what's not to love about two funny, silly and gorgeous children of Z?!?!

I am so sorry to hear that you are under the weather :( Purrsonally, I think it's time to send that bug packing and get down to the good stuff - laughter, kids and Christmas fun! Of course when you send "it" packing don't send it here - we don't want it either ;)

Purrs and hugs!
