Pooches and Posterior Sweat

                                Justice                                        Howie

Pant Pant, Sweat Sweat
stinky dog-sweat smell
105 w/ 25% humidity

They were outside just long enough
to wee a little and back inside they came.
I am trying to put away piles of tote fabric
back into some semblance of organization and
I also swapped out two cupboards, one into the studio.
Did the old large piece of furniture on a drop cloth pull trick...
Up AND down two flights of stairs.
(Yep, she IS crazy)

Growing my hairs out,
(plucking the chin ones),
and I had forgotten how with longer hair,
the sweat accumulates at the nape of your neck
and then like droplets on a car window,
joins with other droplets into a raging stream,
rolls down past the shoulders, channels itself into
the back groove, and then slides wickedly beneath
the pant waistband, down into....
the posterior area.
Or is it just me? sigh

My Oregonian friends Kathy and Kathleen,
here's a proposition...
since you two always want the warmth
and I always want the rain,
what say we swap homes each summer
from now on.....
Don't even need to call first,
you know the key is hidden,
or try the keypad with St Anthony's assistance. :D

Hope your weekend weather is wonderful,
or at least you have a change of underwear if need be.
Z

  4. I had to cut my hair this summer because that sweat on my neck made me miserable! Oh and but 'crack' sweat isn't fun either. It's raining here today but that just means more humidity! Can't win! Hugs, Linda

  6. You are too funny.....crazy but funny!
It was like walking into a stream bath today so humid but I survived even worked in the sun today. You just have to accept that you are going to sweat and go with it.
Isn't it true we always want what we don't have:)

  10. The heat and humidity is really doing a number on my hair. I'm trying to grow it out...but it's not getting any longer, it just keeps getting wider! Talk about sweating...if I sit down, I hate standing up again, because I leave puddles on the wood chairs....I try to remember to slide off the seat!!! ugh. I feel your pain.

  12. LOL!! You wouldn't like it much better here this weekend. We had a record 102 yesterday and another hot day expected today. As Portland does, we will cool back into the 80s next week.
I cannot believe you hauled furniture up and down two flights of stairs. You are one tough chick!

  15. Oh yes, I sweat all over and get angry when I see these cool cucumbers walking around like it's not hot out. How do they do it?? My face is always red and moist and my clothes stink after being outside more than 5 minutes. If it weren't for AC I would head into a life of crime and do in those cool cucumbers. Ann

  16. Z, 109 in Tulsa County yesterday and we're going to have "cooler weather" this coming week of near 100...When the mornings settle in at 73 it seems like a blessing from the morning temps of 86 or so...I AM a bit concerned about your lifting heavy objects or even sliding them on the drop cloth up and down stairs! "You be careful"...a mother's lament. :) Take care. *ready for October!

  17. You really make me laugh out loud!!
OK...here's how crazy we are at the campground ~ it's hazy, hot and humid and my girlfriends and I still want a fire for ambiance at night ~ so my wonderful husband brought down a huge industrial fan to keep us cool (and the mosquitos away)!!

  18. growing it out as in long or as in grey/gray/greige?
Mine stays in a permanent “high Pony” summer and winter offa da neck for sure...a variety of twirls and spins and hair sticks or whatever else I find to put in there...pencils, pens, merchandise tags...I’m going to get a couple of inches cut off today cause with the every 4 weeks dyeing it feels like straw and really long hair can look trailer trash on us gals who are only going to be in their 50s for like 3 more weeks...Yikes!

    cheers and keep coolish...c

  19. No one, at anytime in my youth, warned me about this. No little pink (or gray) booklets on 'growing older' = I was not prepared. Yes, I understand and I'm laughing with you not at you. I should have seen this coming. I've worn glasses for years and was amazed when I realized I was sweating under my eyes.

  21. I feel you sweat girl! We've had 105 degree days with 100% humidity! It's the hottest summer I ever remember.

Girl STOP moving furniture! Especially upstairs! You remind me of myself!

Hope all is well with you other than the sweat. I've been working my butt off, no free time to blog or anything. I miss our talks.

  23. ha ha..I hear ya. It doesn't always get THAT warm here, but at 75 degrees with 70 % humidity I sweat like a whore in church. Whew.

I think it would be a great world if we had JUST ENOUGH of all the great weather around the world
    rain
    chill
    warmth
    soft breezes
    breath taking sunsets
    cool grasses
    YOU GET THE DRIFT HERE.
